The collection
Small runs, chosen one piece at a time. When a weave sells through, we don't reorder the same one twice.
Hand-woven natural rattan over a kiln-dried frame. The chair the whole shop is built around.
Wide enough for two, woven tight enough for a decade of Sunday afternoons.
Hand-woven shade, warm honey light. The first thing people ask about at dinner.
Stone-washed European linen in sand. Softer with every trip through the wash.
Set of six, raffia-edged. Everyday linen that still shows up for a long table.
Ocean-stripe linen, feather insert. The finishing touch on every chair we sell.
Hand-thrown stoneware, reactive sand glaze. No two fire the same.
Unglazed terracotta, thrown tall. Holds native grasses or nothing at all.
Our craft
Everything we stock earns its place through the same three checks: it's made from a real natural material, it's finished by hand, and it still looks right after five summers on a verandah.
Nothing here is printed to look woven. If it can't be made by hand at the scale we sell it, we don't stock it.
The story
Ayla Renner spent a decade styling rental and holiday houses up and down the Northern Beaches — the kind of work where every cushion and chair has to survive sea air, sandy feet and a fortnight of guests who don't own the place. Clients kept asking the same question after every job: where did that chair come from?
In 2023 she stopped sourcing one house at a time and started curating properly — a small container of hand-woven rattan from a family workshop she'd used for years, a linen mill willing to wash-soften before it shipped, a Central Coast potter whose glazes never came out the same twice. Palm Beach Home is that list, open to everyone.
The studio is still a converted garage two streets back from the beach. Every order is packed there, by hand, by someone who can tell you which weave it came from.

Living with it
Natural fibre and hand-thrown glaze aren't fussy — they just want a bit less humidity and a bit more shade than you'd think.
01
Keep it under cover from direct rain. Wipe with a barely-damp cloth, never soak. A light coat of furniture oil once a year keeps the weave supple through winter.
02
Cold wash, line dry out of direct sun. Skip the tumble dryer — linen softens through wear, not heat. Iron warm and slightly damp if you want it crisp for a table.
03
Hand wash the glazed pieces; unglazed terracotta is happiest dry, wiped clean, never submerged. Both are food-safe and both are one of one.
The standing offer: send a chair back to the studio, ever, and we'll re-tension the weave for the cost of freight. We built this to be repaired, not replaced.
In their homes
Bought the Whale Beach chair for the front porch, ended up back on the site three weeks later for the daybed. The weave is genuinely tighter than anything I'd seen in a showroom.Freya Nolan — Avalon, NSW
The linen runner has been washed weekly all summer and looks better now than the day it arrived. My last one from a big homewares chain pilled after a month.Marcus Webb — Mona Vale, NSW
Ordered the pendant light not expecting much and it's the first thing every guest asks about. Packed properly too — nothing chipped in transit, which is rare for anything this size.Sian Coates — Bronte, NSW
